Lead and Learn
Building confidence, skills and friendships on every walk.
Enjoy social walks with purpose.
Lead & Learn is a group walking class around Tamworth, designed to help dogs and handlers practise real-world skills in a supportive, social environment. These walks are as much about friendships and community as they are about training, offering a relaxed, structured way to improve your dog’s confidence and manners in public.
The group is well established, with regular participants, and provides a positive space for like-minded owners and their dogs to connect and learn together.

Why it matters
Walking in public can be challenging, especially around distractions or other dogs.
Lead & Learn helps:

Build confidence and calm in real-world environments
Strengthen communication and teamwork between dog and handler
Offer safe, controlled exposure to different people, dogs, and locations
Provide social opportunities for both dogs and humans

These walks are about practical learning, relationship building, and confidence, rather than structured class exercises. They support long-term reliability, calm engagement, and enjoyment of everyday walks.

How It Works
Because this group is well established, participation is limited to those who have demonstrated they and their dog can work safely in a public, group environment. This ensures the class remains safe, calm, and enjoyable for all participants. Once you and your dog have attended a prior 121 or class and shown capability, you are welcome to join - please contact us to discuss.
