Grendon Dog Field - Noddy's Field

Suitable for dogs above 5 months and a follow-on from my 6 week puppy course.

​

An intermediate dog obedience and life skills class tailored towards building the following skills:​

• Basic positions

• Nose touch

• Heelwork

• Recall practice

• Impulse Control

• Stay

• Middle

• On/Off

• Send to Bed

• Social Etiquette

• Focus work

• Trickwork

​ This class utilises positive reinforcement techniques from a qualified level 5 trainer and behaviourist and is held weekly at secure 2 acre outdoor field. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Rosette and Certificate and be offered a place in my Advanced Group.

CRITERIA FOR ADVANCED CLASS. Your dog must be able to:

• Respond promptly to recall cue from a distance of at least 10m, even with distractions

• Walk on a loose lead for 20 steps

• Heel for 10 steps with eye contact

• 'Leave it' consistently, and drop a toy

• Perform all basic commands (Sit Down, Come, Stay) using hand signals

• Hold a 1 minute Stay at a distance of 5m

• Show appropriate social behaviour (no jumping up, sit on approach, recall from dog)

• Be sent to bed from a distance of 3m

• Wait at door whilst handler walks through before releasing
